News

2/4/08 - As you are probably aware, Northern Plains Outfitters, Inc. is reworking the website. We hope to be done with all updates within the next couple of weeks. Please check back frequently as we will always be adding more news to this page. Thank you for your patience!

2/5/08 - We are currently in the process of making the southeast room in the Whitetail Cabin our new Pro Shop. We will offer a wide variety of Hats, Shirts, Jackets, Vests, Shooting Glasses, Deer Scents, Fleece Pullovers, Sweatshirts, Treestands, Electric Collars, and much more.

2/5/08 - The Pheasants and Deer are fairing very well so far this winter. We have a few inches of snow currently on the ground and the feed is very accessible to all wildlife. In all my years of hunting, I have never experienced this many Pheasants in our area. If this weather pattern continues, we look for unbelievable numbers of Pheasants this upcoming Fall! It should be a GREAT Year! The Deer are just starting to shed their antlers at this time. Some still have their head gear, on a brief scouting trip a couple days ago, I glassed 8 different bucks with one of the bucks scoring around 150 inches. We look forward to a very successful Deer Season this fall as we plan to add more land and treestands to our current arsenal.

4/08/08 - If you are thinking of hunting with us this fall, we strongly recommend that you book your hunt as soon as you can as we are beginning to fill up very quickly.  Deposits need to be received by April 30th to hold the dates you desire.  If deposits aren't received by April 30th, the dates that you had last year are not guaranteed to be available to you for the upcoming season.  Call Shannon at 605-380-9971 if you have questions.

4/21/08 - Tree Planting has begun at Northern Plains Outfitters.  Within the next week, 10,000 new trees will be in the ground and looking for timely rains to get a good start.

4/22/08 - Food Plot seed will hit the dirt in short order!  We will have more food plots and overall walks than ever before which in turn ensures less pressured birds and deer.  We will be adding additional deer hunting land to our already sprawling stand locations.  We look forward to the new ground and HUGE BUCKS!

6/9/08 - The 2008 Archery Deer Season is completely booked.  We are taking bookings for the 2009 season at this time.  Call Shannon for more information!
